This photo actually marks the beginning of a love affair with manual cameras. Taken with a Minolta XG9, a manual camera borrowed from a friend when my own broke down, with Ilford HP5 film loaded, it was my first time handling a manual camera with a manual focus, so I attempted to practise my manual focusing on a nearby plant growing on the bark of a tree at eye level. Not too bad for a first time using a manual focus, if I may say so myself...
