poems ( * - recommended pieces )
: here Whimsical, kooky, strange, this piece was written for the Creative Writing Club as an assignment. I still find it a rather interesting piece after so long. It's about a superhero... in his backyard...
: here A whimsical piece written when listening to some background music from a game. Fairyland was written in late 2002, when I was still feeling a bit experimental.
: here When something bad happens to you, do you accept it silently, or do you want to go down fighting? When I wanted to go down fighting, I was denied the right to. When that happens, all I can do is wait, and feel hope slip away...
: here Guilt is an extremely graphic poem (at least for my standards) dealing with suicide. That's a warning, if you don't understand. I wrote it in around 2002, during a sudden angry/disillusioned/depressed moment.
: 1 and 2 A long two-part poem about a relationship that was pretty unsuccessful. It's about my ex-boyfriend, and thus, is rather personal, but as I would mention in my comments later, the whole issue is settled, at least on my side.
: here * Written during my depressed stage of life, despite the title, this poem is definitely not a happy poem. Happy poems are not my forte... funny poems, maybe, but not happy...
: here A poem expounding on love, a cynical approach to the most written about emotion in the world, and written when I was younger, and still hated the opposite sex... *grin* Written in my experimental stage in early 2000.
: here When you hear music, how do you feel? What if the music is something you heard long ago, when your life was different? Music was written at the period when I was very depressed, and thus, is a rather sad poem.
: here My anger is most easily cured by the catharsis known as poetry writing. Angry poems are a necessity in my writing life, and Principles, written in 2001, is one of them.
: here A piece full of imagery, Sleep was an experimental poem, which has a slightly detached tone to it. Sleeping is a hobby very dear to my heart, though I cannot say this poem exactly expresses my feelings for it.
: here One of my oldest pieces written in early 1999, Study was an irate angry poem which was to be the model for all my later social-commentary-poems. It was truly, an expression of my feelings, and I still find it a very honest poem.
: here Sometimes one just needs an escape from it all, and sometimes, one needs someone else to give them the first push, to guide them along in one's escapade... to take one away...
: here A poem that started out small and grew over time, this poem was one of my most edited, chewed over and crunched on. I still don't consider it finished, but it has an incomplete elegance about it.
: here * Written at one of my Creative Writing Club meetings back in early 2002, experimental in nature, this is one of my few rhyming poems. It has a peculiar structure which was meant to be whimsical. I find it funny though.
: here * A yellow line is commonly drawn on train or subway platforms, and one is supposed to stand behind the yellow line when waiting for a train, for safety reasons. This poem is about waiting behind this line.
: here One of my irked-with-the-world-social-commentary poems on, as you might have guessed, busy lives and busy people. It's rather short, and was written relatively recently, in early 2002.
