the soft night light A soft night light is not quite bright try as it might shine through the night
through light and night it shines on soft glow quite
might just might as it tries might shine so bright
one day it did shine oh so bright too bad it blew And thus it died.

I wanted to write a poem that was simple, to the point of resembling a nursery rhyme. There's something charming about poems that rhyme, something that's quaint and sweet. Obviously, the poem wasn't as innocent as I had intended it to be, but I think it still has a simplistic feel to it. *giggle* I'm always so very amused when I get to the last two lines...
